Six months sure has flown by! After our exciting trip to California, we are relaxing at home and praying a lot about our future. Daddy was offered a job teaching high school English at Greater Atlanta Christian School! We are torn - do we stay in Searcy, where we are closer to family and Daddy loves teaching at Harding; or do we move far away to Atlanta so that Mommy can stay at home with Avery?!?
Decisions like this are tough - but Mommy really wants to be home with her baby, so Daddy makes a big sacrifice and says let's go for it! Daddy is our hero. :) We put our house up for sale and Daddy goes to Atlanta ahead of us to start his new job. He misses his Avie Grace so much, but luckily is able to come home and see us during our time apart.
Meanwhile, Mommy gets help from Grandma Johnson and several amazing friends in Searcy - they help take care of Avery while Mommy is working and trying to get the house packed up. These are crazy times! Luckily, you are a perfect little angel and people love keeping you. You like to just sit in your bouncy seat and watch everything going on around you.
We visited Dr. Moore for your 6-Month appointment on August 4th. We sure are going to miss Dr. Moore when we leave! You weighed 14 pounds 3 ounces (25th percentile) and were 24 3/4 inches tall (50th percentile). We told him about our move and he gave us lots of good advice about helping you eat well. He gave you an extra squeeze and kiss goodbye...I think he is going to miss you, too!
